Trees down across Devon after storm

Thunder, lightening and torrential rain hit Devon last night.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for thunderstorms remains in place until 0900 (Wednesday 24th July).

The storm hit Devon at around 2300, bringing trees down across the county. 

  • New North Road in Exeter BLOCKED by a fallen tree.
  • In North Devon, the A386 near Weare Gifford a fallen tree is blocking the road.
  • Road closed because of a fallen tree near Chevithorne (just north of Tiverton)
