Sancho's wins £10,000 prize
An independent Exeter ethical clothing store has been name the top shop in the UK
Sancho’s on Fore Street in the city centre, is the High Street Shop of 2020, according to an organisation called Holly & Co that helps people start businesses. They've organised the Independent Awards, backed by NatWest, Three, Dell, Royal Mail and Pinterest.
Sancho’s was amongst 50,000 UK small businesses nominated for the awards. Judge Mark Constantine OBE, founder of Lush, says ofSancho’s:
“Stunning ethically produced and sustainable products. Novel pricing model and great outreach with their slow fashion show. A beacon of light in a ragged trade.”
