They all happened last Friday (7th September)
Police say valuable items were stolen from galleries in St Georges Square and Foss Street in the town last Friday.
PC Phil Johnson said: “We are currently treating these incidents as linked and it’s believed that the locations were targeted. All of the items are unique, rare and recognisable. I’d appeal for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time to contact police. I’d also urge anyone who has any information about the incidents of the whereabouts of the items to contact police."
Officers first received reports of a theft from Whitesails of Dartmouth where two bronze statues (pictured) named Toby and Marrise worth £3000 were taken.

On the same day, this large antique clock worth more than £1000 was taken was from Simon Drew Gallery.
A further report was of the theft of a Hare sculpture from Baxters Gallery.
A painting of a bird with ‘Ronnie’ inscribed on the back was also taken. These items are valued at around £500.
