Mini hits tree in Dawlish
A single-veichle incident on Monday has left the man with potentially life-changing injuries. Emergency services were called at 11am after the Mini Cooper left the road at Luscombe Hill and collided with a large tree.
The driver and only occupant, a 34-year-old man from Teignmouth, was extracted from the vehicle by the fire service. He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, where he remains.
Exeter Roads Policing Team are investigating and appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them. Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who saw the Mini travelling west prior to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
