A seasonal ban on dogs comes into force on many local beaches today.
East Devon district council say their enforcement officers will be patrolling the areas where the ban is in place ....
anyone caught breaching it can face an 80-pound on the spot fine... or a larger penalty if the case goes to court.
However there are beach areas where dogs are allowed.. the information's on local signposts and on the council's website.
