Chaos on roads. Many schools shut

A winter wonderland has descended upon Devon - primarily affecting the central and eastern parts of the county.

A yellow weather warning is currently in effect until 3 PM, prompting gritting to pre-treat roads.

The A30 between Launceston and Honiton is currently impassable in certain areas, and numerous other routes are facing difficulties.

Trains between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton via Crediton are cancelled - click here for the latest.

Dartmoor, Exmoor and higher ground areas are expected to receive 10-15 centimetres of snowfall.

Additionally, flood alerts have been issued for the south Devon coast from Starpoint to Dawlish Warren with strong winds and potential 2-meter high waves.
