Anti-smoking campaigers in the south west are calling on parents to spare their children exposure to cigarette smoke in the car.
The appeal comes as many families are heading out on summer holidays or outings.
Smoke Free South West says even in a car with the windows open, the harmful fumes can be six or seven times more dense than in a smoky bar.
Director Fiona Andrews says any parent would want to avoid exposing their children to that health risk.
