Rain stops trains - again

Wet weather has put paid to hopes of getting from Exeter to Cornwall or back again on time, as line shuts till at least 7.30pm

Just three years after £35 million was spent on making the railway line at Dawlish resilient after it collapsed in storms, it's closed this afternoon and through the early evening because of the rain.

Flood alerts are in place for Start Point to Dawlish Warren.

Heavy rain has made some roads difficult to pass around East Devon.

Four people have been seriously injured in a crash on the A38 near Plymouth. The Devon Air Ambulance has been on the scene near Marsh Mills.
