Over £3,000 worth of power tools stolen

Police need information

A number of power tools have been taken from a property near Bideford.

The tools, valued at more than £3,000 were taken from a locked property in Westleigh between 7:30 pm on Tuesday 3 August and 8am the following morning.

It's believed the break-in could be linked to another in the same area. Nothing was taken when an intruder was seen in the garden of another property in the same area at around 10pm on Saturday 7 August.

Police would like to hear from anyone who's seen any suspicious behaviour, been approached to buy tools or have been burgled but not reported it.

People have been reminded of the importance of ensuring properties are left secure, especially in remote areas, where they aren't overlooked by neighbours.

Anybody with information on the burglary or the stolen items is urged to call police on 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting crime reference CR/066292/21.

Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111, or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
