No Devon covid deaths in a week

Latest figures reassuring

No deaths related to coronavirus were recorded across Devon in the latest weekly figures released by the Office for National Statistics. The numbers relate to the week of June 27 and July 3.

It is the second time in three weeks that just one death across and the two counties and no deaths in Devon have been recorded for the seven day period.

No new deaths in care homes were recorded, and it is the third week in a row that across the whole of Devon, there has been no new care home deaths.

The South Hams and West Devon have now gone seven weeks without a death, Mid Devon and North Devon six weeks and both Teignbridge and Torridge five weeks without a death.

 

 

In total, 566 deaths from coronavirus have been registered across Devon and Cornwall, with 303 in hospitals, 220 in care homes, 42 at home, and one in a hospice.

Of the Devon deaths, 90 were in Plymouth, 58 in Torbay, 49 in East Devon, 39 in Exeter, 33 in Teignbridge, 26 in North Devon, 20 in Torridge, 17 in Mid Devon and West Devon, and 12 in the South Hams.
