New sensory garden for Dementia patients

Dementia patients at an Exeter hospital are benefiting from a new sensory garden.

It's been created at the Franklyn hospital thanks to the Government's Dementia Challenge fund, and gives those being treated in the Beldevere ward a peaceful outdoor space to relax in.

Occupational therapist Carrie Clarke says some of the more active patients grow vegetables there and help with the gardening, which is very therapeutic for them.
