Cycling challenge for Tour of Britain

The Devon stage of the cycle race takes place in 7 weeks, but you can take part in your own competition!

The Devon Summer Tour starts today and runs until Sunday 12 August.

Cyclists need to form a social team of six riders – just like in the Tour of Britain.

You and your team will earn points by riding and encouraging others to ride, giving you a chance to win VIP tickets to the start or finish of the Devon stage.

Rides can be logged by adding a ride on your profile page (see below) or connecting an app to your account. The more points you have the more likely you and your team are likely to win a prize.

New riders in your team will receive double day and miles points, while extra points can be earned for encouraging new and less experienced cyclists.

Other prizes on offer include a chance to ride in a Tour of Britain race convoy vehicle as the race takes place and a £500 voucher for you to spend at a local bike shop.
