The MP for Tiverton and Honiton has asked the Health Secretary for an urgent meeting over cuts to community hospital beds and his concerns about the consultation process.
Axminster, Ottery and Exmouth hospitals are all set to lose their beds following a decision by the Clinical Commissioning Group.
Neil Parish says in the case of Axminster, the hospital's League of Friends presented an alternative proposal to the CCG but it was rejected.
He wants Jeremy Hunt to look into whether this constitutes proper consultation, under the legislation surrounding the NHS reform process.
