Morning SoberRave

SoberRave poster 2018

Active Devon in partnership with EDP Drug and Alcohol Services and the Recovery Sound System have launched an initiative to help people suffering from alcohol, drugs, mental illness and any form of abuse to connect with music, get active and feel good.

The initiative will bring dancing to the morning.

Inspired by the Gloryville rave events in London, they are bringing Exeter its very own ‘Morning SoberRave’. It’s a chance to get active through dancing at a welcoming and fun event before heading off to the rest of your day.

The free event will take place on Friday 2nd March between 8am-9am at the Exeter Phoenix. Music will be provided by DJ’s taking part in EDP Drug & Alcohol Services Recovery Sound System project which aims to connect people through music.

Sober Rave takes the essence of club culture and transforms it to be a positive experience based on promoting good mental health, getting active and inspiring recovery from negative experiences. The first pilot event attracted over 40 people from recovery services and now we are expanding the offer to workplaces and students.
