An Exeter charity which prevents young homeless people from having to sleep rough is hoping to recruit more local residents to provide short-term emergency accommodation.
Nightstop arranges for vulnerable 16 to 25-year-olds to spend up to two weeks in the home of a volunteer, who puts them up in a spare room and gives them an evening meal.
The charity says the need for the service has been increasing steadily and there's never been a more important time for local people to come on board.
Nationally, the aim is to double the number of volunteer hosts by 2015.
