He was taken there in a vehicle
A man is being supported by police after being sexually assaulted in a Plymouth park in the early hours of Monday.
Officers were called to Devonport Park at around 12.45am after the victim had entered a vehicle and was driven to the park.
The men, who didn't know one another, got out together before the victim was attacked at the park band stand.
The suspect then left the scene.
A scene guard was in place through Monday morning while investigation work takes place.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses in the area at the time, or anybody who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage. They particularly want to speak to a man who dropped the victim home following the attack.
Anybody who can help is asked to call police on 101 or contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling freephone 0800 555 111.
