It's claimed 40% of people in the South West don't trust the government to protect the NHS.
The figures come from a new survey and coincide with with an event taking place in Exeter today to raise awareness of a controversial deal that could privatise GPs and hospitals.
The treaty, called the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, is between the USA and the UK and would force NHS trusts to open up to competition from American healthcare providers.
Local campaigners against the deal will be gathering at the Green Fair outside the Cathedral from 10am this morning.
