Hundreds of jobs look set to be created by a new distribution centre near Exeter for the supermarket chain Lidl.
The site was originally going to be used by Sainsburys for a new depot, meaning it already has planning permission.
Sainsburys carried out extensive preparation work on the site at Clyst Honiton, before deciding in 2013 not to take the scheme forward.
Now the two supermarkets have reached a deal enabling Lidl to take over the land and build a distribution warehouse to serve existing and new stores in the South West.
It's expected to create 500 jobs, adding to the economic growth in this area near the Science Park and Skypark, known as the Exeter Gateway.
