Smoke was coming from the cockpit air conditioning unit
A Flybe plane to Alicante has been evacuated and 100 passengers taken back to the terminal after the pilot found smoke coming from the air conditioning unit.
Fire crews were called to the Airport earlier this morning (Thursday 28th February). The runway and terminal has now reopened after being closed for a short time.
Evacuation slides and one passenger broke their ankle.
The flight to Alicante eventually departed at lunchtime.
