Flybe 'on track' despite end of year loss

The Exeter based airline Flybe says it's on track to recovery and profitable growth, despite reporting an end-of-year pre-tax loss of 35.6 million pounds.

The company is one year into a three year transformation plan which has seen job losses and major cost-cutting.

A year ago it reported profits of 8.1 million pounds.

Flybe says a number of one-off and technical items mask its underlying profit performance - including a charge related to its exit from a joint venture in Finland.
