It follows last years revival
Exeter Carnival is set to return for another year following on from its relaunch last year.
The event is run by InExeter and will take place on Saturday 25 November which will also coincide with switching on of the Christmas lights.
More than 40 entries took part last year which involved more than 600 people from across Exeter, Devon and beyond.
Events manager Marina O'Shea said: "The carnival last year left the crowds awestruck with the participation of carnival clubs from all over the southwest, along with the vibrant display of local community spirit highlighting the very best of Exeter.
"This year, we are excited to present an even greater showcase of local talent and community!”
A new giant puppet will be making an appearance this year after InExeter partnered with St Sidwell's Community Centre. It means local artists Burn the Curtain will build the puppet called 'Sidwella' which will take part in the parade.
Anyone wishing to take part in the carnival is asked to sign up through the Exeter Carnival website.
