A new dog control byelaw could be introduced in the Exeter park where an elderly woman's beloved pet was mauled to death by another dog.
Councillors, police and dog wardens met yesterday to discuss how to prevent a repeat of the shocking incident in Belmont park last Thursday.
They're now considering a byelaw stipulating that dogs must be kept on leads, either at all times - or possibly just during the months of May to September.
The meeting also heard that the lady whose dog was killed has received 'massive support' and is now going to get another puppy as a companion.
