An East Devon teenager who donated his bone marrow to a stranger has been given an award by a national charity which helps people with blood cancer.
George Stafford from West Hill, registering to become a donor after two of his friends were diagnosed with cancer. He says seeing them going through the painful experience made him want to help in any way he could.
The 19-year old was named Donor Champion of the Year at the Anthony Nolan Awards.
