Good Deal for Devon aims to raise £50,000 in 2019
Devon Air Ambulance Trust is to become the primary charity partner of Good Deal for Devon, a new initiative that aims to raise money for good causes across the county.
The air ambulance is one of the county’s highest profile charities, with two helicopters flying on life-saving missions every day – and increasingly in night-time hours too. Public fundraising, donations and volunteers provide the cash that keeps Devon Air Ambulance flying, so it was a natural choice as a partner for Good Deal for Devon.
Paul Nero, from Good Deal for Devon, says: “We’re developing a promotion for 2019 that will be a good deal all round - for consumers, businesses and good causes – and what better cause could there be than Devon Air Ambulance? It receives no government funding, so we must all do whatever we can to help, and we feel sure that Good Deal for Devon can play a role. Our ambition is to raise £50,000 for the air ambulance and the same again for other community groups in the county.”
Devon Air Ambulance Trust fundraising and communications director Caroline Creer says: “We’re always looking for opportunities to raise funds and of course different innovative ways to do it. When Good Deal for Devon was explained to us, we simply loved the idea and are delighted to be involved.”
Other good causes can also register to raise funds for their own projects by completing the form at Good Deal for Devon: www.gooddealfor.co.ukor by emailing hello@gooddealfordevon.co.uk
