The Government's being told that Devon should be made a 'special case' when it comes to funding to recover from the last few days' flooding.
Yesterday the Environment Secretary Owen Paterson visited the Exeter area to see the damage for himself and meet the leader of the county council.
John Hart told Mr Paterson that while the council will be applying for cash from the Government's emergency kitty, Devon also needs money for capital works on the road and transport network, which is so vital to the local economy.
