It started in a shed
A fire that started in a shed in the garden of a property in Bradworthy in North Devon has severely damaged two bungalows.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue was alerted to the blaze on Sunday morning and initially sent two fire engines.
After the extent of the fire became known, crews from six fire stations, at Barnstaple, Appledore, Bideford, Hartland, Holsworthy and Torrington worked on it.
The shed was totally destroyed by the fire, which had then reached the roofs of two detached bungalows.
There was 50 per cent fire damage and 20 per cent smoke and water damage to the one bungalow roof.
The second bungalow was 70 per cent damaged by fire and 30 per cent damage by water.
The cause was accidental.
