One person has been arrested
Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a shop in Teignmouth yesterday evening [21 August].
They were called at 5pm to the ‘Rock n Fudge’ shop in the Triangle, with armed officers deployed to locate the offender.
A woman, thought to be white and in her 30s, entered the store and demanded money.
Officers say one person has now been arrested.
DI Alexandra Doughty said: “Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
“We have made one arrest and they are currently in police custody.
“We will be conducting further enquiries and searches today in and around the Teignbridge area and the public will see a higher police presence because of this.
