The rise has come over the past 5 years.
The figure's been released by the stalking victims' support service Paladin which is today continuing its training of local police officers.
Paladin wants to make sure they're able to recognise the offence and respond appropriately.
It follows the high-profile case of Exeter woman Helen Pearson, whose stalker tried to kill her.
