Representing his country at Sandy Park would mean"the world" to Chiefs scrum-half Sam Maunder
Exeter's exciting prospect Sam Maunder, aged 18, has been included in England's U20 squad for this weekend's Six Nations clash against France at Sandy Park - home of the 2017 Premiership champions Exeter Chiefs.
The young scrum-half played in England U20's Six Nations lose against Ireland last weekend.
Speaking about the opportunity to represent his county this Saturday, on his home ground, Sam said: “It would mean the world to me to play for England at Sandy Park.
“I’m lucky enough to play my rugby there, so to potentially represent my country against the world champions at home would be incredible, it would be a moment I would never, ever forget.
“My team mates will definitely be hit by some massive enthusiasm in Exeter, down in Devon people love the sport. I’ve heard the north terrace is sold out so some of the boys are in for a bit of a ride."
