A look ahead to this weekend's local action
Exeter City will attempt to extend their six point gap away from the relegation zone at home on Saturday against second-place Bolton Wanderers. After a great run of four wins in five games, City haven't won in nearly a month. Bolton are currently sitting in automatic promotion in League One, although only by one point. Their form hasn't been the best - only two wins in their last five. Gary Caldwell will be keen to get back on form, and finish the season without the stress of a relegation battle.
Plymouth face off against Blackburn Rovers away from home. Argyle sit in 16th, but only two points off the drop. This game is a relegation six-pointer - Blackburn are only one place below Argyle in the table, and only on goal difference. Neither team are in good form - Plymouth with one win in the last five, and Blackburn with four draws! With ten games left to go, both teams will see this match as vital.
Torquay United, who are comfortably mid-table in National League South, play Dartford at home on Saturday. Without a win in nine, interim manager Aaron Downes will be looking to build a run of form before the end of the season.
No Exeter Chiefs action still this weekend due to the Six Nations. Chiefs Fly-half Henry Slade is expected to start for England against Ireland on Saturday in their fourth match. Ireland are currently unbeaten and topping the table, whereas England sit in third with two wins and a loss.
Plymouth Albion face first-place Chinnor at home in the National League 1. Albion sit in 5th, with no expectations of promotion or relegation. Chinnor and Rams both have 82 points in first and second, so this game could be instrumental in the title race.
Exeter City Women's host Maidenhead United on Sunday in an attempt to extend their nine point lead at the top of the Women's National League Division One South West.
Plymouth Argyle Women's go up against Cardiff City away on Sunday in the Women's National League South. As relegation has already been ruled out, they will look to push up the table before the summer.
Torquay United Women's face Selsey on Sunday in the Women's National League Division One South West in a bid to move away from the drop. They currently sit one point above relegation, but Southampton below them have two games in hand. Selsey are bottom of the league with zero points.
