Club needs more members

Exeter Saracens has launched a new mixed ability rugby team – and you can get involved!

These all-inclusive sessions are aimed at anyone over the age of 17, regardless of level of experience or ability whether you're new to rugby or not.

Chaperones can easily be assigned on the pitch to assist if you struggle with poor sight or coordination – they’re here to help and transform lives through exercise and social interaction.

It creates equal opportunities for marginalised groups to participate on a level playing field, it adopts the same rules as rugby you see on the TV with only minor adjustments for individual needs, it challenges the elitist norms to overcome segregation and prejudice within the sport.

Exeter Chiefs Community has more than 20 teams aimed at men and women as well as youngsters for all ages from 7 to 100+ and is excited to start this new squad.

Training sessions have already started, and if you’re interested in joining you can email mixed.ability.rugby@exetersaracensrfc.org

*It’s not recommended for wheelchair users as it is based on a grass surface.
