Standard Rate Text Competition Terms
STANDARD TEXT RATE SPECIFIC TERMS
1. SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1 - These terms and conditions (which we will refer to as the "Specific Terms") are the rules, terms and conditions for the promoter's competitions that use the Radio Exe standard rate text number (81400).
1.2 - These Specific Terms are in addition to the General Terms set out by Radio Exe Limited for all competitions, available on the Radio Exe website. Please refer to these terms and conditions before reading this document.
1.3 - These rules take precedence over the General Terms in the event of a conflict.
2. ENTRY
2.1 - These competitions can be entered by standard rate text message. Entrants need to send their answer (in the format advised on-air), followed by the letter 'X' in an SMS message to 81400.
2.2 - SMS text messages are charged at the standard network rate.
2.3 - Any texts received before a competition has begun or after it has closed may still be charged, but your entry will not count. SMS entries are received on arrival, not from the time they are sent.
2.4 - SMS entries must be sent to the correct number in the correct format as set out by the promoter. Any entries that fail to do so will be void.
2.5 - Network or mobile phone handset faults are not the responsibility of the promoter.
2.6 – An entrant should always gain permission of the bill payer before sending a message.
2.7 - Entries can also be made via email. This will be advised by the presenter.
3. THE PRIZE
3.1 - Prizes vary for standard rate text competitions. The prize will be announced by the presenter.
3.2 - For event based prizes (tickets), the winner must be available on the date of the performance. No transport or accommodation is provided unless otherwise stated.
3.3 - No cash alternative is offered.
3.4 - The winner may need to collect a prize from the Radio Exe office in Exeter.
3.5 - Winners will be announced on-air and for events, given reasonable time to collect tickets or provide details for them to be posted.
3.6 - Some prizes may be posted using standard UK mail services. The promoter takes no responsibility for loss or damage.
