A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a man was discovered in a car in Cornwall.

Early on Wednesday morning, December 18th, police were alerted to a welfare concern at Helston Business Park.

Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 60s, from the Avon and Somerset area, deceased in a vehicle. His next of kin have been informed.

Two women, aged in their 50s and 80s, are currently being questioned by police on suspicion of murder.

Detective Inspector Neil Blanchard stated:

"While our investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing, we are currently treating the man's death as suspicious. We recognize that such a serious incident may cause concern within the community. However, it's believed that all parties involved were known to each other, and there is no perceived risk to the wider public.

"As our investigation progresses, you can expect an increased police presence around the business park.

Anyone with information can contact the police on 101, quoting log 406 of 17 December."
