
Two killed. Three injured.
Two teenagers have been killed in a single-vehicle car crash near Exeter Racecourse.
The 18-year-old male driver of a Silver Peugeot 107and his 16-year old female passenger died at the scene, a back road connecting Haldon Hill and Telegraph Hill, just after 1am on Thursday morning.
A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl who were also passengers are critically hurt. Another 16-year-old passenger has less serious injuries.
Next of kin of all the teenagers have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Emergency services were called at around 1.20am on Thursday 8 August.
Sergeant Phil Brown said: “Our thoughts are with the families following this tragic incident. We understand the community will be concerned about this incident involving young members of our community.
"I wish to reassure the public that specialist officers are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision and would particularly like to speak to any witnesses who we have not yet spoken to."
