Take a look inside the new Exeter Police Station

Take this virtual 3D tour!

A new 3D virtual tour gives you the chance to see inside the new state-of-the-art £29m Exeter Police Station.

The new, modern building, which replaces the dilapidated Heavitree Road station, is the operational home for more than 450 officers and features 40 high-tech custody cells.

You can now see inside the station yourself thanks to an interactive virtual tour created by Cornish-based tech firm Ocean 3D. The tour, which you can access here, allows users to take a walk through all three floors of the state-of-the-art facility as if you were actually there, though some sensitive areas have had to be excluded for safety purposes.

Alison Hernandez, Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, oversees the police’s estates team who delivered the project. She said: “I’m extremely proud of everything our estates team has achieved with this project.  We have created a truly state-of-the-art facility that will provide a pleasant and practical working environment for our officers and see us well into the future.

“As well as wanting to share these great achievements, this virtual tour also provides a valuable service in allowing those with autism or Asperger’s syndrome to get a feel for the building before visiting, should they ever need to."
