Campaigners are celebrating after a successful battle to save a popular play park in North Devon from development.
Initial plans submitted would have seen 10 houses on the park at Avon Lane in Westward Ho!, along with a new community building, play area and tennis courts.
Now the town council have the opportunity to purchase the park and keep it as a community facility for £100,000.
