It happened at around 12.30am on Saturday 14 April on Cookworthy Road.
A 19-year-old man was approached by a group of six teenagers who pushed him to the ground and kicked him.
The offenders are described as male, 15-16 years old and are believed to have been wearing dark clothes and hooded tops.
