Fat cat's flap trap

Oi, It's not fat it's power!

Porky Exmouth feline to diet

A friendly cat the size of a small continent in Exmouth, who can no longer fit through her cat flap, is on a diet - but she needs the help of local residents.

People have been feeding Iris during lockdown, and by the looks of things, she's had her fair share. Sheena, Iris' owner, has one message for the public; If you see this monster coming over the hill, don't feed her!

Iris is a loving, happy pet, however, sometimes you need to be cruel to be kind.

Taking to Facebook, Sheena wrote: "Iris just wanted to keep her fans up to date on how her diet has been going. Well its not gone very well as you can see.

"She's been in denial for some time and continues to beg for treats. Its becoming a problem for her now as only her head fits in the flap on the door of which we have locked as she can only use it to play peek a boo and can't fit the rest of her in it! Iris has now resorted tapping on the door to come and go.

"For the love of pillow pets and fat Iris if you see this very loved fur friend pretending she has been neglected and has an empty tummy STOP feeding her. As you can see she really doesn't care but we'd love to have her with us for as long as possible.

"All of our other cats are indoor only, she doesn't like staying in and gets stressed if we try and do so. She doesn't wear a collar as she gets them off and it stresses her with it on."
