Plans to treat Devon cancer patients in their own homes.

A pioneering project has been launched in the South West to get cancer patients treated in their own homes by health professionals.

The new project has been launched by the ambulance service and Macmillan. It's being hailed as a ground-breaking project that delivers better care for patients nearing the end of their lives.

Jo Stonehouse, the project manager, says they've had positive feedback about the scheme so far: "Cancer is one of the greatest health challenges in modern society at the moment. We have currently got around 2 million people living in the UK with cancer and that's set to double by 2030."
