'Thorverton marathon' will be in February
A team of eight people are running a marathon around Mid Devon on 28th February 2025.
They are raising money for Thorverton Church of England Primary School which is trying to improve its facilities including building a new Special Educational Needs Facility.
The group of runners will get underway at half past nine in the morning on that day at Thorverton School and aim to finish at Thorverton school before the end of the School day.
They will be visiting some of the other Federation schools on their circuitous and will also be going on very hilly route!
The team is Dan Robbins, Matt Regan, Lisa Price, Annabel Hawkes, Katherine Smith, Matt Foo Dowling, and Adam Fisher and seven of the team running have children at the school.
The group are trying to raise at least £3000 to help the school bring their plans to fruition.
