Police are appealing for witnesses
A man has sustained serious, life-changing injuries following a crash in Plymouth on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called at around 12.30pm on Friday 7 February following reports a motorcycle had collided with a black Ford Mondeo on Cumberland Road in Devonport.
The rider of the motorcycle sustained serious, life-changing injuries and was rushed to Derriford Hospital.
The driver of the Ford Mondeo is assisting police with their enquiries.
Local officers and roads policing officers attended the scene and conducted a thorough investigation.
The road was closed for several hours whilst the investigation work took place and police would like to thank members of the public for their understanding and patience.
Anybody who witnessed the collision or saw a black Ford Mondeo or white and blue motorcycle in and around the area at the time of the collision, is asked to please make contact as soon as possible.
