There are calls for more investment in Devon's roads to help reduce fatal car accidents.
There were 68 fatalities on roads in Devon and Cornwall last year , with a total of 822 serious accidents.
It has prompted Devon and Cornwall's Police and Crime Commissioner to urge the Government to invest more in the Westcountry's road network.
There are plans to spend millions of pounds on new road safety improvements, which have been welcomed, however Alison Hernandez has called for further Government investment.
In a statement she claims "the amount of people killed or seriously injured on our roads is not good enough".
