A man has been charged with the murder of Katherine Bevan in East Devon.
The 53-year-old's body was discovered at a farm in Gittisham near Honiton on the night of the 3 January.
26-year-old Luigi Palmas - of no fixed abode - has also been charged with a further count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in connection with an incident in Exeter on 20 January.
At a hearing at Exeter Magistrates' Court today [22 January], Palmas confirmed his name and age with the help of an interpreter.
He will appear again at Exeter Crown Court next month.
