Work is finally to get underway on multi million pound improvements to Exeter City's ground.
After more than two years of complex negotiations contracts have finally been signed for a new stand at St James Park. The old one, which dates from 1926, will be demolished and as part of the deal student flats will be built nearby. Work on the three and a half million pound redevelopment is due to begin next month.
Club Chairman Julian Tagg is expressing delight and Martin Weiler, who chairs the supporters trust, says it's a major step forward, which will mean facilities for home and away fans will be vastly improved.
