The Environment Agency say flooding is possible and to be prepared
Flood alerts are in force for parts of Devon, as a day of prolonged wet weather hits the county.
The areas at risk are the Lower Exe Area around Exeter, Exmoor rivers and the Middle Exe area, which includes Tiverton.
The environment agency says: “Flooding is possible this morning and throughout the day on Friday. Through the night we have seen heavy rainfall ... this has meant that rivers are now rising.”
“Rain is expected to continue during Friday, so river levels are expected to remain high throughout the day.
“Flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river is expected.”
Good morning, cloudy across central and southern areas with outbreaks of rain, heavy in places. Further north, sunny spells and showers, these merging into persistent rain at times in western Scotland. Windy. https://t.co/Hjw1otqXUL ^Chris pic.twitter.com/4V7js1eZ9z
