Concern over Exeter gambling

£70m was staked on fixed-odds roulette machines in Exeter betting shops last year.

The Campaign for Fairer Gambling, which published the figures, is especially concerned about the effect on younger people, and the rise in use in both poor and affluent areas.

They've been described as the 'crack cocaine' of gambling because up to £100 can be spent every twenty seconds.
