It happened in the early hours of this morning
A man's died after a crash in Torquay in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to Rathmore road (A3072), just after 3.30am.
The driver of the car was taken to Torbay district Hospital to be treated for minor injuries and another passenger was taken to Derriford, having sustained a serious leg injury.
The third occupant of the car died at the scene. Police say enquires are now ongoing to locate and notify his next of kin.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by dangerous driving with no insurance, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The road was closed for hours whilst an investigation took place and eventually reopened at 1.30pm.
