Mel Stride needed a recount to hang on to his seat
Central Devon MP Mel Stride will be among six MPs battling to become the next Tory leader.
Nominations closed on Monday afternoon
Kemi Badenoch, Dame Priti Patel, Tom Tugendhat, James Cleverly and Robert Jenrick have also put themselves forward to succeed Rishi Sunak.
The winner will be announced on November 2.
Mr Stride held his Central Devon seat at the general election earlier this month, but only after a nail-biting recount against Labour candidate Ollie Pearson.
