Exeter City's new stand officially opens

VIDEO: Behind the scenes inside the new stand

Nine years in the planning, Exeter City Football Club's new stand has been officially opened.

It cost three and a half million pounds, including changes to the changing rooms and other improvements. It's been paid for by releasing nearby land for student housing

The stand is now called Stagecoach Adam Stansfield Stand in honour of the player who died eight years ago, aged 31. Fans will get to use the stand for the first time on Saturday when the Grecians take on Forest Green Rovers (27th October 2018).

The club also has a new away stand, which means it’s probably lost its spot at the top of the list of worst away ends to watch league football.
