Inclusive menopause show in Plymouth

Theatre Royal Plymouth have helped put together this 'frank', 'funny', and inclusive play exploring the realities of menopause.

This bolder, revised version combines humour, real-life stories using ten years of research to create a relatable experience for all.

Join former disco champion and HR professional Claire as her 50th birthday one-woman show, "Mid Life," hilariously unravels.

Not only do her audio describer, BSL interpreter, and DJ (this year featuring former EastEnders actress Judith Jacob!) hijack the performance, but Claire's own menopausal symptoms make a dramatic entrance.

Created by a diverse group of women, "Mid Life" shows how menopause affects different people.

Creator Claire Hodgson explains its universal appeal: "A man in his seventies came to see it, explaining he is ‘married and the proud father of three daughters, so why wouldn't I come!’ My 78-year-old mum has also appeared in the show as herself. They knew they were seeing our real lives alongside their stories on the stage."

All performances are relaxed, with BSL interpretation and audio description.
